Location: Mumbai

Shift: APAC hours (between 6:00 am to 3:00 pm IST). Should be willing to extend working hours as per process requirement. Should also be willing to work in EMEA hours in case process need arises

 

Overview:

The Security Operations Trade Support group provides operational coverage to trading, underwriting of Fixed Income securities, FX transactions and Cash & Derivative Equity trades.  Primary role and responsibility in Security Operations include identifying and managing risk through oversight of trade capture, reconciliation, as well as documentation and settlement of client, broker, and proprietary trades. Throughout the life of a trade, a Sec Ops professional will face-off directly with sales and trading as well as have regular interaction with compliance and non-market risk counterparts. Fixed Income Ops primarily supports Corporate Bonds, commercial paper, treasuries, Asset-backed securities including mortgage-backed securities and securitized products, municipal securities, Credit and Rates Derivative support. Equity Ops covers Cash and Deriv OTC as well as Exchange trade support. FX Ops primarily focusses on Cash and Deriv trades including Vanilla and Exotic variants. Additionally, the team produces regulatory reporting for the Federal Reserve detailing the Firms positions, transaction, financing, and fails data of U.S. government securities and other select fixed income securities.

  • Understanding risk implications of Security operations
  • Providing supervisory oversight to ensure all functions and procedures are performed in a timely and correct manner, i.e.  trade checkout, position reconciliation, wash account reconciliation
  • Reviewing regulatory reporting including TRACE, MSRB
  • Working with Trading desk, Sales, and other operations group to ensure proper trade processing and reporting
  •  Managing stakeholder relationships across the business unit
  •  Assisting on any issues, and providing timely escalation to desk and operations senior management.
  •  Ability to adhere to tight timeframes pertaining to Market cutoffs to ensure SLAs are not breached

 

Senior Analyst:

  • 2+ years’ experience within Security Operations Trade support
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities (Bonds, Equity, Repo’s, Credit and Rate Derivatives) ,FX Spot, Forward and Option transactions
  • Experience of working in a team environment and able to groom and train new comers
  • Understanding of Regulatory framework for Fixed Income Securities including FINRA (Trace and MSRB)
  • Understanding of key Fixed Income Organizations

  • Team player, must be able to collaborate across multiple operational areas
  • Multi-Tasking and time management skills are critical
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues to senior management and to trading desk(s)

  • Self-starter, who is willing to ask questions
